Uch-lûth Skirmisher

I've been wanting to take pictures of my Beorning's outfits for a very long time. Before I could do that, I made myself a promise first. That promise was to get her to Dunland. This outfit, even though it was assembled mid-2016, I had a particular place in mind to model it. That would be Barnavon in Carreglyn, however she was thirty levels too low at the time. I've put in a significant amount of work with my Beorning since my return and it's been wonderful experiencing landscape content and exploring locations I seldom have reason to visit.

So, why wait until Dunland? I've had a my reasons. First, the Surcoat of the Yield, with all of its fur, stitchings, and simple patterns, had a very tribal feel to it. It felt like something the Dunlendings would wear. Second, the racial appearance of the Beorning--musculature, facial structure, skin tone, and tattoos--felt like it was modeled after the Dunlendings as well. It's something that's been sitting in the back of my mind since I created this character. (I've wondered if anyone else had come to this conclusion too?) Third, perhaps the most superficial reason, the earthen color scheme of this outfit matched very well with the location.

And that would be this week's outfit!

In other news, it was brought to my attention that Mordor is going to bring improved, perhaps entirely new skill animations. And it was mentioned that character models are getting a revamp as well. A quick search has confirmed this. I've experienced both excitement and trepidation. I have some concerns after the previous revamp/tune-up (I want to say 2015-ish) that altered our avatars in terms of body structure and posture. I for one didn't care for the lankier look the elves received or how movement animations changed on other races. Time will tell...and I hope a fantastic job is done! Much love has been needed in the character creation department.

    1. They've been around for a very long time. I abused them to no end when I started outfitting! Nowadays, you'll rarely see them here.
