Garrison Commander

Can I say how much I've loved having Bullroarer? Whenever I've finished testing what I wanted to test, and after giving appropriate feedback of course, I like to indulge my outfitting urges. Thanks to the Eyes and Guard Tavern located in Archet and Thorin's Hall, many of LOTRO's currencies are infinite. I've created or transferred multiple characters and completed the dailies found in the Tavern to cap my commendations, stockpile mithril coins, or collect whatever else I've desired. I'd been waiting for an opportunity to create this outfit, one that complimented the Great Axe of the Khazad-dûm Vaults, a weapons periodically available in the LOTRO Store.

As this character appearance required vast quantities of commendations from PvMP zones, Bullroarer was the ideal place to create this. On the live servers, every piece (with the exception of the chest armor) is available through creature drops, various landscape barterers, and Lalia's Market. The chest, the Breastplate of Command, requires a whopping 7,500 commendations. Coming from a server where PvMP has been dead for years, it's one skin that's virtually impossible for me to collect. I've drooled over and dreamed of having the Ettenmoors gear from multiple classes for years, but this is the closest I've gotten...and most likely ever will get. The designs have been top notch!

Luckily, some PvMP gear has been offered at Lalia's Market over the years. I've been able to collect most of it. Honestly, I would have loved to see more added or rotated in these past several years, but the Market was abandoned shortly after Aubergine left Standing Stone Games when it was still known as Turbine.

Oh, yes. Don't mind the pic above and to the right of this text. For some reason, /stoicpose was bugged during that final Bullroarer session, and it produced the actual two-handed axe my character was using as opposed to the cosmetic one.

Shoulders: Spear-hurler's Shoulders (Red, Warden class vendor in the Twenty-first Hall)**
Chest: Breastplate of Command (Washed, Ettenmoors Captain class vendor)
Legs: Leggings of Command (Washed, Ettenmoors Captain class vendor)***
Hands: Stonefists (Crimson, dropped by Forvengwath in Barad Gularan)****
Feet: Ceremonial Town-saver's Boots (Gold, bartered from the skirm camp cosmetics vendor, under Rift Cosmetic Clothing - Medium)

Main-hand: Great Axe of the Khazad-dûm Vaults (Appears in the LOTRO Store at random for limited periods of time)

**Can also be found at Lalia's Market at the time of writing this entry. Also, if you have a Beorning, you can barter for the Stone-claw's Shoulders in the Twenty-first Hall.

****This skin is also shared my multiple world drops in pre-50 zones.

    1. Thank you! The interesting thing about the chest and leggings is that they lose their vibrancy when dyed. I don't quite understand why, but red and crimson will actually become somewhat muted colors.
