Forest-friend - Lanael of Gladden

Green has always been my favorite color for my Rune-keeper, Lanael. Looks like I've discovered another character that heavily associates with a specific color, very much in the way shades of purple agree with my Captain. It's probably the personality I've envisioned for each specific character that leads me to dress them in certain fabrics and styles. That could very well be why I've stopped working on particular outfits. Even though it can look great, I can't envision that particular one wearing it in Middle-earth. But, that's what alts are for! I originally modeled this outfit on my Warden in navy blue.

Looking at posts I've published and ones still on the drafting board, I've been making a ton of Rohan-influenced outfits. I may have said it in other posts already, but I'm still expecting great things from Helm's Deep and I'd like most of my characters to descend upon the Westemnet on their war-steeds in the appropriate gear. I've seen some screenshots provided by Turbine over Facebook and I've somewhat been judging how my outfits will work based on what's been publicly released. There are certainly some stunning visuals!

Even in the starter areas, there are several places that are rarely visited due to lack of quests or the simple fact they're off the beaten path. The Brandy Hills and the surrounding region would some of those places. This is actually where I took these screenshots. If you haven't traveled to the Brandy Hills for any quests, I suggest you do so in the future. There's a fantastic daytime view from the hillside ruins of the Bree-lands including the Barrow-downs, the Old Forest, and even the farmer's fields near Adso's Camp. I would have taken the final pic from that spot, but my character would have been in a shadowy spot eclipsed by a bright background. Even the forest behind the ruins will take you to an relatively unknown island on the Brandywine in Evendim. Watch out for the level 30-ish elite giant as you run through the woods, though!

  1. Ah!! I'm so glad that you're using this chest-piece. It's one of my favourites with a burgundy dye. I think the green looks amazing on the model and with the scenery,
    Another fantastic outfit :D
