Originally, I had some overly complicated outfits put together in the dressing room when I began using this color...and they were downright obnoxious. I took a couple of them to the landscape for a few days, curious how they would appear in practical landscape use. Needless to say, that first wave failed. For the second wave, I scaled back this particular project and found the next set of outfits to be far more visually appealing. It's this wave you'll find featured here. If you're on Gladden, you might get lucky and see me adventuring in these!

the first one is lovely! Very bright, but it makes me think of a gondorian noblewoman. The last cloak also looks nice, the dark base hue plus shire plum makes it look like velvet :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! My mini runs around in that first outfit all the time! It's bright, but balanced, and it's easily my favorite of the three :)
DeleteAnd when I saw what shire plum did to that Cloak of the Harvest Sky, I knew I had to use it! It also has some wonderful colors in it, depending what dye you use. The brighter the color, the more dramatic the effect!
That second one is <3 <3 <3
ReplyDeleteI've had a couple of kinnies that love robes rant and rave about that one!
DeleteThe Elven Queen dress dyes very pretty in Yellow. That dress always lightens the dye used, so it turns out a very pretty light lemon.
ReplyDeleteIt does look pretty! Having that white tint in the dress makes some of those bright colors bearable. I may go exploring and see if I can find anything else that may dye that shade of lemon. Autumn leaf looks good too, although a bit more earthy. Close to a goldenrod, I'd say. Thanks for the tip!
Deletegreat outfits....keep on with your wonderful blog ;)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
DeleteNice! The Winter's Light Robe & Harvest Sky Cloak are two of my faves to try different dyes with. (A must-have in the wardrobe.) Thanks for the info. and great pics. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! I may experiment more with those in the future, especially the Robe of Winter's Light...if I can manage a cold weather outfit post :)
