Memories of Edhelion - Aldebaraan of Gladden

After the Elven tutorial to LOTRO, you'll find yourself standing before the gates of a razed and abandoned Edhelion. This area has seen relatively few changes over the years and is rarely visited once the main game begins. In the early days of LOTRO, you eventually revisited this refuge as you made your way to Skorgrim's Tomb, northeast of Edhelion. Update 2, I believe, changed the format of the intro and rearranged some locations. The tomb was moved, and a few NPCs were added to the town during the intro. Once the new intro was completed, there was never reason to return and this area became nothing but a distant memory...

...unless you were an avid Inn League daily completionist. : )

Soldier of the Mark

It's been rather interesting two weeks digging through my massive cosmetic vault, spread across three cosmetic mules and several level-capped characters. At last count, I made a dozen new outfits, which I will be releasing at a rate of one per week. Anyway, as I was sifting through everything, I found those undyeable pieces released with every expansion starting with Rise of Isengard. I haven't seen anybody using those on my server in the past year, so I felt it was time to start reclaiming them and integrating them into full outfits. When I pick up Helm's Deep, I'll add the new set to my repertoire. With the upcoming expansion, I've wanted to create some sort of a Westemnet-worthy outfit.

For this particular blog post, I'm focusing my energy on the Hauberk of the Eastemnet--the pre-order piece exclusive to the Riders of Rohan expansion. On top of that, it's very rare that I focus on a heavy armor appearance.

Reviving an Old Frock - Nathrien on Bullroarer

Now that the NDA has been revoked, I can post this amazing War-steed and old school Annuminas-based outfit combination. Gotta love the perks from Beta, especially when it comes to daily allowance for skirm marks and medallions...I would never be able to afford this on the live servers, as I never seem to have them in abundance. So I went to town on retro-gear I normally couldn't get my greedy little hands on! Even though the outfit you'll see isn't entirely original, I feel I should spotlight it.

This will probably be my only mount-centric post, as I'm focusing on player cosmetics. If you love horses, especially these, I'd suggest keeping an eye on my friend Ely's site Pony Lovers Anonymous. You'll see some astonishing mounts with matching outfits!
