Watchman of the Northern Lands

Stationed at the stone fortress of Gondamon, this solitary dwarf patrols the northern region of Ered Luin. He does his best to keep the roads clear of danger. Between the port of Kheledûl to the east and the stronghold of Sarnúr to the west, both controlled by the rogue Dourhand clan, and the encroaching goblins of Rath Teraig to the south, his duties also require constant vigilance. That, however, is not his only task. He also guides adventurers and travelers following the roads between the dwarven settlement of Thorin's Hall and the elven port town of Celondim. Every mile of the route is committed to memory. He's willing to share with them a lifetime of survival skills to ensure their safe passage, should they need to leave the path and venture through the cold wilderness.

Even though May has rolled around, I'm still making cold weather outfits. Summer may be around the corner, but I made this one from an role-playing perspective that would fit the cooler dwarven regions like northern Ered Luin or Ered Mithrin. Although my dwarf doesn't spend much time in either region due to his level anymore, I thought it would be nice to give him a taste of home. The Fur Mantle added a wonderful touch, making him look like he'd walked out of a Viking Mead Hall! It's become my favorite dwarven outfit.

It's certainly been a highly satisfying experience outfitting dwarves. However, with this entry, I've decided to give my dwarves a rest for a while. I've focused on them and the Ered Mithrin cosmetics for the past several months to the point where I can't look at them any longer. Besides, I have other outfits or Cosmetic Weapons Project additions I'd like to upload (hopefully) in a timely manner. I've had to revolve my outfit backlog around my dwarves to keep those U23 outfits as relevant as possible. That made for some awkward scheduling, especially when I had to rearrange my posting order and modify whatever text was included in those posts. I haven't quit modeling my dwarves entirely, but they'll return under a more relaxed schedule.

  1. those furry shoulders sure fit the dwarf's build while on characters from other races they look way too bulky. Nice outfit!

    1. Thank you! I thought those shoulders fit dwarves very well. Glad I finally found an excuse to use them!
