Spring Series - Greenfields Party-goer

If all goes well, the Spring Festival should be coming up soon...by that I mean sometime in late April or early May. Anyway, I've been thinking about the Feast of the Greenfields, which was added literally as a tribute to St. Patrick's Day back in 2009. The handheld Bullroarer's Tankard, the Greenfields Clover Hat, and clover patch are all that comes to mind. St. Patty's Day is on the 17th, and in lieu of the festival that gets pushed back later each year, this outfit is a tribute to the "Eat, drink, and be merry!" March holiday. Except that this tribute is being done Hobbit style! On the 17th, log into the game with a few friends and kinnies, take the group down to the Shire and celebrate with a pint!

Walker of the Wilds - Faewynn of Gladden

This outfit is my tribute to the days when the level cap was 65. There was such a variety of end-game gear to wear at the time. There were sets from Helegrod, the Moria instance cluster, Barad Guldur, Ost Dunhoth, and Dâr Narbugud, each with a distinct and awesome looking experience. So far, three of those sets have been made easily available through skirmish-earned medallions and marks. The teal Moria sets still need Moria Medallions and the Watcher Tokens. The full teal DN sets are only available through the special elfstones earned in the raid. You can get some cosmetically similar gear from the class vendors in Mirkwood, but only the head, shoulders, and boots. I say we petition Turbine to make the DN sets available in the skirmish camps since they're obsolete stat-wise!

Apparel Dummies - Good Idea or Bad Idea?

Sorry it's been a while since my last post, but life and leveling my hunter to 75 has temporarily prevented me from working on this blog. With some upcoming downtime, which will last until Rohan is released, I can spend more time posting here. I promise to bring some homesteads pictures in the near future! : D

Anyway, I logged on today only to notice these apparel dummies sitting in Michel Delving. Naturally, I though that each town might have different cosmetic sets to offer. I ported to at least seven or eight different areas to discover that the same four dummies at every location. I don't know if this is only a taste of what's to come from the LOTRO Store or if this is all they'll ever offer. But is it worth investing in these cosmetic bundles?
