First Cosmetic Adventure - Faewynn of Gladden

Finally, my favorite time of year has arrived. The air has a slight chill to it and the leaves are just starting to turn. I believe this is what Tolkien would have called Yávië, meaning early Autumn in Quenya. Where I live, the change in season practically occurs the same time when the leaves display their characteristic colors of red, orange, gold, yellow, and chartreuse. Because of this, I've decided to revive something from my infancy as a LOTRO player...something older than what I thought was my actual first cosmetic endeavor last year.

This was an incredibly old outfit. I started playing LOTRO in September of 2010 when the game went free to play and this was actually the very first outfit I'd created. Believe it or not, I had completely forgotten about this until I poked around on my portable hard drive and found pictures from late 2010 and early 2011. The quality and sizes of the images were less than stellar, seeing as they were from a laptop long since deceased. It took a little while to distinguish what pieces were used, but I managed to reconstruct it (minus the weapons) and had taken these screenshots in the same locations as the originals.

I did find a few more outfits from those days and I do plan on posting them in the future. Kinda like a time capsule or show-and-tell series!

While taking these pictures, I've realized how old most of our character animations are whether they're specific to a character or a universal emote. Hopefully, Helm's Deep brings us an infusion of fresh animations. Based on the "Revitalize Your Role" page I think that's possible. I see a lot of skill names that are new and, with some luck, those will be active skills. I've also been wondering if there will be any changes to existing animations. It's certainly within the realm of possibility. After all, there have been animation changes before!
